Why is Swami Vivekananda called an Ansh-Avatar (Part-Incarnation) of Shiva?

Do people randomly call him an Avatar, or is there a solid reason behind it? This is a very intriguing question, and the answer has to do with the spiritual experiences of those around him. Spiritual truths, such as Swami Vivekananda being an Avatar, cannot be known using our outer intelligence. They are revealed only to the inner sight through a vision or a spiritual experience.

“Inner sight” means that it is our consciousness that gathers this information and not the brain. Our brain is a finite instrument with limited capabilities. However, our infinite consciousness possesses vast capabilities. For this reason, yogis and spiritual seekers who are in tune with their souls can gather a lot more information.
