Don’t Jump Up From Sleep, Let Consciousness Return to Body

Regarding this quote of Sri Aurobindo:

Many times in sleep we leave our body and go roaming in subtle worlds, but we are not conscious of this fact. So waking up suddenly can be harmful. We must let our consciousness return fully to the body.

People of an impatient nature, tend to wake up sleeping children suddenly, by nudging or shaking their body etc. They do not give time for the consciousness to return fully. Children must be woken up gently after several calls. Time must be accorded to their consciousness to return to waking state.
